The old world, kept faithfully.

Pre-renewal mechanics, hand-tuned rates and War of Emperium on a fixed weekly clock.

The classic Ragnarok Online first-job cast

Six first jobs, two branches each, no renewal tree.

What classic means here

Built for the era it claims to be from

This is not a renewal server with the numbers turned down. The rules, the maps and the pace are the ones the world shipped with.

Pre-renewal maths

The old stat and skill formulas, the old maps, the old job tree. Nothing from renewal is bolted on.

Rates you can read

Every multiplier is published in one place before launch, not buried in a patch note after it.

A fixed weekly clock

War of Emperium runs at the same hours every week, so a guild can plan around real life.

An account you keep

Your login is a Groot ID. It works across every world Groot Games runs, and it outlives this one.

The full sheet

Where everyone starts

Novice first, then one of the six. Each first job keeps its two classic branches, and nothing is unlocked by paying for it.

Swordman class art

Swordman

Front line, high stamina, the shortest path to Knight or Crusader.

Mage class art

Mage

Elemental burst from range. Becomes Wizard or Sage.

Acolyte class art

Acolyte

Healing, support and warp service. Becomes Priest or Monk.

Archer class art

Archer

Sustained ranged damage. Becomes Hunter or Bard and Dancer.

Thief class art

Thief

Speed, evasion and poison. Becomes Assassin or Rogue.

Merchant completes the six: the trade route that becomes Blacksmith or Alchemist, and the reason a vending row outside town is worth walking past.

Weekly siege

War of Emperium, on a clock you can trust

Castles are taken by guilds who show up together, at hours published in advance and kept. No surprise reschedules the night before, and no castle handed out for anything other than winning it.

Accounts

Your account is a Groot ID

RO Classic does not keep a separate login. Identity lives in the Groot Games passport, so the account you make once is the account you keep across every world we run.

  1. Bring or create a Groot ID

One passport covers every world we publish. If you already play Sky Fang, you already have it.

  2. Pre-register this world

Recorded against your passport, not a mailing list. Withdraw it from here or from your dashboard whenever you like.

  3. Sign in on launch day

The same ID opens the game. No second account to make, nothing to migrate later.

Questions worth asking early

Do I need a separate account for this server?

No. RO Classic uses your Groot ID, the same passport that covers every game we publish. Create one once and it carries across titles.

What does pre-registering actually do?

It records your Groot ID against RO Classic, so we can tell you the moment the gates open. Nothing is charged and you can withdraw it from this site or from your passport dashboard at any time.

Is this pre-renewal?

Yes. The world is built on classic-era mechanics: the old stat and skill maths, the old maps, and no renewal job tree. It opens at episode 5.0 and advances from there on a published cadence.

Will there be a cash shop?

Cosmetics only. No stats, no cards, and nothing that touches combat, which is on the server page in writing so you can read it before investing any hours.

When does it open?

November 2026, opening with a closed beta that pre-registered passports are invited to first. The full ruleset is already public and the client download follows it.

Be there when the gates open

The world opens in November 2026, and the closed beta before it is invitation first for pre-registered passports.
